177Lu-Labeled Cyclic-Cholecystokinin Derivative for Peptide-Receptor Radionuclide Therapy |

Radionuclide-labeled peptides have been designed to target the receptors which are over-expressed in cancer cells. In particular, the Cholecystokinin(CCK) receptor has been shown to be overexpressed in various cancer cells. In the present study, a cyclic-CCK derivative was designed to investigate its tumor-targeting ability in AR42J human pancreatic cancer cells. The cyclic-CCK, DOTA-Nle-cyclo(Glu-Trp-Nle-Asp-Phe-Lys-NH2) was synthesized by a solid phase synthesis method, and radiolabeled with 177Lu. The radiolabeled peptide was effectively accumulated in the AR42J tumor in vivo. It was concluded that cyclic-CCK derivative can be a potential candidate as a targeting modality for the CCK receptor overexpressing cancers. |
