Polymer solar cells (PSCs) are viewed as promising candidates for renewable clean energy sources. They have advantages in light weight, flexible devices and lower fabrication cost due to simple solution processing. However, the relatively low efficiency of most widely used polymers hinders further enhancement of their photovoltaic performance. To achieve high solar power conversion efficiency (PCE), it is important that the donor polymers have low HOMO level. To decrease the HOMO level of polymer, we introduced F atoms onto the polymer backbone. Fluoro substitution normally leads to increased coplanarity of the polymer chains and got high open circuit voltage (Voc) by deep HOMO level. In this study, the synthesized polymer's characteristics observed by 1H-NMR, GPC, TGA, UV, CV and fabricated device was measured. |
