(PU) are used extensively in soft/hard foams, seals, gaskets, panels, adhesives, coatings, sealants, fibers, etc. In this study, to obtain eco-friendly polyurethanes with high performance in thermal, mechanical, and electrical properties, waterborne polyurethane (WPU)-based composite films reinforced with reduced graphene oxide (RGO) were fabricated by solution casting and following heat treatment. For the purpose, an WPU was synthesized by using poly(propylene glycol), isophorone diisocynate, 2,2-dimethylolpropionic acid, and 1,4-butanediol. Graphene oxide (GO) was prepared by a modified Hummers method. The structural features, thermal stability, dynamic mechanical properties, and electrical conductivity of WPU/RGO composite films were characterized and the results were discussed in terms of the RGO content. |
