Tailored Living Block Copolymerization: Multiblock Poly(cyclohexene carbonate)s with Sequence Control |

We report a method for the living multiblock copolymerization of functionalized cyclohexene oxides and CO2 using a well-defined zinc β-diiminate catalyst. The minimal influence of monomer substituents on the polymerization permits the synthesis of block copolymers of controlled block length and varied block sequence containing multiple functionalities including lipophilic, hydrophilic, and fluorophilic groups. |
