Flexible Piezoelectric Nanogenerator Based on Cross-linked Nanocomposites |

Piezoelectric energy harvesting technology is one of the promising technologies for renewable energy. Among them, flexible piezoelectric nanogenerators (PENGs) that convert mechanical energy from human activities such as pressure, bending, stretching motions into electrical energy have been proposed and developed by many researchers. Here, we report a flexible piezoelectric nanogenerator based on piezoelectric nanocomposites. Piezoelectric nanocomposites were fabricated by dispersing piezoelectric particles in a polymer matrix and the cross-linked nanocomposite films were sandwiched between the top and bottom electrodes coated on the plastic substrate. Under periodically mechanical deformations, we optimized the output performance of flexible piezoelectric nanogenerator as a function of poling voltage, strain rate, and strain speed. Our proposed approach is an extraordinary improvement in the composite-based PENG research for self-powered flexible energy source to realize the wearable electronics and sensors. |
