Storage of thermal energy is one of the promising means for increasing efficiency in energy saving and makes the system more cost effective by minimizing the dissipation of energy. PCM is the use of the latent heat which is available during the phase change process. Storage of thermal energy can be saved by using sensible heat, latent heat of phase change materials(PCM), chemical reaction heat, different concentrations, and photochemistry. In these storages of thermal energy, PCM is the use of the latent heat which is available during the phase change process. However, PCMs have a low heat conductivity. Then, it needs to improve heat transfer enhancement techniques by inserting thermal conductive additives into the PCM. In addition, addition of thermal conductive fillers could result in the loss of energy storage. Thus, it must be certainly considered about porosity of additives to maximize the energy storage capacity. |
