The development of hybrid organic-inorganic materials has been extensively studied in recent years. These materials show the combining properties of organic and inorganic components through the combination of a wide variety of compositions. Herein, we developed the stretchable, transparent and scratch-resistant coating film using the hybrid organic-inorganic material. The hybrid organic-inorganic material was fabricated by mixing of inorganic material (Silica and Titania) and organic mateiral (amphiphilic polymer named ASAP). The coating film was made by sol-gel process using bar coating on colorless Polyimide. Specific films characteristic like UV/VIS spectrophotometer, pencil hardness, and stretching was investigated. The transmittance in visible ray area was higher than 90%. The pencil hardness > 3H and stretching > 3% were achieved. The present approach to scratch-resistant coating offers a much easier and simpler way than the conventional ones requiring multi-step coating. |
