Fabrication and Characterization of Modified TiO2 Nanoparticles for High-refractive Index Fillers using In-situ Method |
초록 |
Titanium dioxide (TiO2) nanoparticles were usually used to high refractive index inorganic nano-filler into polymer matrixes to improve their optical performance. Unfortunately, TiO2 nanoparticle is difficult to disperse uniformly because of strong aggregating each other. In this study, we fabricated TiO2 nanoparticles modified with silane agent, [3-(methacryloyloxy)propyl] trimethoxysilane using in-situ method in order to improve their dispersibility and mechanical properties. The modified TiO2 nanoparticles were characterized using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX). Their optical properties were characterized hazemeter, UV-visible spectrometer and ellipsometer. |
