Introduction of NOx reduction Three-Way Catalyst on cold phase |

The critical needs for improved gasoline after-treatment that meets tighter regulations. First, New technology development to substantially improve both cold start HC and NOx emissions. Our strategy for NOx reduction is to maximize the NOx storage performance during the cold start period. Because the emission in cold start phase accounted for over 40 percent of total emission. Thus, the catalyst have to store NOx until catalyst warm up for NOx reduction. To achieve that goal, I did study on the improvement for catalyst design through the benchmarking. The main factor of NOx adsorption and reduction function are PGM amount and CeO2 amount. Various catalyst design were characterized using comparison of Synthetic Gas Bench test and Vehicle test. The influence of this content on the NOx emission behavior will discuss. |
