제목 A cell-instructive bioactive hydrogel with micro-channeled piezoelectric membrane
초록 The hydrogel has been studied for various applications including controlled drug delivery, tissue engineering, micro-scale actuators and microfluidic flow control. This study demonstrates that a new method to align and control spatial organization of bioactive hydrogel into micro-channels of a poly(vinylidene fluoride) membrane and guide growth direction and spacing of living cells. This integrated bioactive hydrogel system was prepared by fabricating a micro-channeled PVDF membranes and subsequently filling micro-channels with a hydrogel of biologically active collagen. The micro-channeled PVDF was fabricated by inducing the directional growth of cylindrical solvent crystals at a controlled freezing speed and removing them by lyophilization.  Finally, the aligned micro-channels were filled with a collagen hydrogel in a vacuum for guiding and leading the myoblasts into the patterned myotubes.
