The design of new conjugated polymers (CPs) have drawn intensive interest recently, since they provide a meaningful way for numerous electronic and optoelectronic applications including OLEDs, OFETs, OSCs, and ECDs. Among these applications, electrochromic device (ECD) controls optical properties such as optical transmission, absorption, reflectance, and/or emittance in a continual but reversible manner on application of a voltage. Here, we report the synthesis of quinoxaline based donor acceptor type conjugated polymers. Various side-chains were introduced to the polymers, and, especially, the presence of alkyl and alkoxy groups was examined in regard to solubility and molecular weight of resulting CPs. It is noteworthy that physical and morphological behaviors of CPs are heavily affected by these side-chains. The spectral and electrochemical results of the synthesized polymers will be presented in the conference. |
