제목 Synthesis of high heat-resistant vinyl ester resin with enhancedthermomechanical properties using a urethane reaction for hot-melt prepreg​
초록 Vinyl ester (VE) resin is a thermosetting polymer that is synthesized by esterification of various epoxy resins and unsaturated monocarboxylic acids such as methacrylic acid (MAA). VE is widely used as a polymer matrix of fiber-reinforced composites because VE has excellent thermal stability, corrosion resistance, chemical resistance, and mechanical properties. In this research, high heat-resistant VE resin film was synthesized for the hot melt carbon fiber prepreg process using an esterification reaction of novolac epoxy resin and MAA. For stable sheet manufacturing and smooth carbon fiber wetting, the optimal viscosity of the resin was adjusted using a urethane reaction with isocyanate. The effect of a urethane reaction on the physicochemical and thermomechanical properties of the VE resin has been investigated.
