제목 Novel Ruthenium catalyst for ring opening metathesis polymerization
초록 Ring opening metathesis polymerization (ROMP) is one of the important polymerization methods since it has living polymerization nature and is a useful technique to get a copolymer of a various norbornenes. The catalyst for ROMP is transition metal carbene complex and is very sensitive to the moisture. over the past decade, Grubb's group and other researchers have devoted to search a more stable and more active catalyst for metathesis, since it posses significant advantage in terms of handling. Up to now, Grubb's (2) is one of the most stable and reactive catalyst for ROMP.
In this work, we have synthesized novel catalyst by modification of the Grubb's catalyst to enhance environmental stablity. They showed the good catalytic activity without degasification and purification of solvent even with very small amount of catalyst for ROMP of norbornene.
