제목 Highly selective Fe-ZSM-5 bifunctional catalysts via syngas to C5−C20 hydrocarbons
초록 One of a promising technology to convert syngas (CO + H2) into liquid hydrocarbons is low-temperature Fischer-Tropsch synthesis (LT-FTS: 200−280 °C). High activity, low methane selectivity, and low cost are the reasons why precipitated iron-based catalysts has been used for LT-FTS. However, LT-FTS generates an immense portion of waxes with a wide distribution of C5+ hydrocarbons. The addition process of hydrocracking of waxes into liquid hydrocarbons is necessary. The viable procedure is the use of bifunctional catalysts, consist of LT-FTS catalysts and acidic catalysts. In this study, the bifunctional catalysts were prepared by physically mixing of LT-FTS catalysts and cracking catalysts. The various ratio of Si to Al in ZSM-5 and ratio of P-Fe to ZSM-5 in bifunctional catalysts were tested. The highest selectivity of C5-C20 obtained from bifunctional catalysts was 72 wt%.
