In this study we used two different acids HCl, H2SO4 for the separation of MgO and SiO2 from the Fe-Ni slag. The leaching rate of these acids was studied as it is an important factor for the extraction of MgO and SiO2 from the Fe-Ni slag. We have prepared 10 wt% Fe-Ni slag added the different acids of various molar concentrations at the 70°c. Three different leaching times, temperatures (2, 4 and 6 hr, 30, 50℃ and 70℃) were selected for these leached solutions. In order to compare the leaching efficiencies of different acids and the effect of leaching time and temperature for the separation of MgO and SiO2 from the Fe-Ni slag solutions. Herein, Sulfuric acid leaching effects were shown better results than hydrochloric acid, X-ray Fluorescence, Inductively Coupled Plasma, Laser Diffraction Method, X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy analysis were performed. |
