제목 Field-induced Electroluminescence with Low Dimensional Nanomaterials/Polymer Blends
초록 Field induced electroluminescence (FEL) of either organic or inorganic fluorescent materials under AC field has been of great attention as a potential candidate for next generation displays and lightings. Unique device architecture in which an emitting layer is separated with an insulator from electrode offers a new platform for designing and developing a variety of types of ELs based on novel nanoscale fluorescent materials such as quantum dots, carbon nanotubes and their hybrids with organic/polymeric ones. Here, we demonstrate a high-performance FEL device. we were able to realize a SWNT-FEL device with a light emission of approximately 350 cd/m2 at an applied voltage of 25V and an AC frequency of 300 kHz. The material design rules of our FELs are much simpler than conventional light emitting diodes because there is no need to ensure energy band gap alignment between layers or to control carrier injection and transport, resulting in a very cost-effective device.
