Until a recent date, COVID-19 pandemic has been persisted, and the people was entering a period of economic stagnation. The disposable mask has been essential to avoid the infection of COVID-19 virus. However, the filter in the mask could filter the virus droplet, could not annihilate the active virus. Therefore, the introduction of antibacterial activity in the mask filter have been considered. Copper based nanoparticles have been extensively studied because of their superior antibacterial activity. The copper was easily oxidized at the atmosphere. It was known that the cuprous oxide has the superior in antibacterial activity than the cupric oxide. Various-sized CuxO particles were synthesized via chemical reduction method and hydrothermal method, and their comparative study of antibacterial activity was conducted. The introduction of Copper based nanoparticle to the filter material was also performed using melt-blown method. |
