Shape-controlled synthesis of NCM precursors by ammonium concentration using coprecipitaion method |

High-nickel(Ni contents >90%) LiNi1-x-yCoxMnyO2(NCM) is the cathode material for high-energy lithium ion batteries(LIBs). Most NCM precursors are synthesized by coprecipitation method. Coprecipitation is affected by concentration of chelating agent, transition metal(TM), speed of feeding solution(TM) and etcs. Also, Morphology and crystal structure are seriously affected by coprecipitation conditions. Herein, a high-Nickel Ni1-x-yCoxMny(OH)2 precursors were investigated in variable concentration of NH3. During the increasing ammonia concentration, thickness of NCM flake was changed thick to thin, and continuously thin to thick. The change of morphology and crystal structure are tested by SEM and XRD. For the NCM, each samples are calcinated with LiOH in oxygen atmosphere and test for charge-discharge test. |
