제목 | Molecular dynamics and micromechanical study on interfacial and thermoelastic properties of BNNT-polymer nanocomposites |
초록 | The reinforcement effect of boron nitride nanotube (BNNT) onthermoelastic behavior of poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) nanocomposites wasstudied through a molecular dynamics simulation and mean-field micromechanicsmodel. Uniaxial tension, shearing, cooling down and pull-out simulations wereimplemented in MD simulations. In micromechanics, the multi-inclusion (M-I)model was adopted. In transverse loading condition, a clear imperfect interfacebetween BNNT and PMMA was observed. In comparison with carbon nanotube (CNT),BNNT showed better interfacial load transfer. Moreover, the PMMA moleculescould form a highly densified interphase zone around the BNNT. |
