제목 | Anaerobic biohydrogen production and simultaneous azo dye (Reactive Black 5) decolorization by Clostridium acetobutylicum ATCC 824 |
초록 | Clostridium acetobutylicum showed the best decolorization of Reactive Black 5 (RB5) and biohydrogen production at the 100 ppm concentration on 2xYTG medium among the hydrogen-producing Clostridium sp. Evaluation of medium components like carbon sources and nitrogen sources was studied. And the optimal condition for simultaneous decolorization and biohydrogen production was selected pH 6, 40 ˚C, and 200 rpm. In addition, a high concentration (200ppm) of RB5 can be decolorized up to 97 %, and biohydrogen production shows 69% of maximum biohydrogen production. This study shows the potential application of C. acetobutylium in wastewater treatment by simultaneous decolorizing and producing biohydrogen. |
