제목 Efficient photocatalytic CO2 reduction to hydrocarbon fuels using solar light and a magnesiothermally reduced TiO2 photocatalyst
초록 CO2 levels inthe atmosphere have been linked to global warming. To lower CO2 levelsin the atmosphere, using sunlight to photoreduce CO2 andsubsequently synthesizing hydrocarbon fuels compatible with current energyinfrastructure makes sense. Increasing photoreduction efficacy and productselectivity will be difficult with a photocatalytic device. We test our newlycreated reduced TiO2 for photoconversion of CO2 and watervapour to hydrocarbons, primarily CH4. When used with Ptnanoparticles as a co-catalyst, the reduced anatase TiO2 producesthree times as much CH4 as anatase TiO2 nanoparticles(546.98 ppm/g1h1, 0.38mol/g1h1).
