제목 Extended lifetime of pentacene thin-film transistor with nanocomposite and crosslinked polyvinyl alcohol passivation layer
초록 For low cost and flexible device application, all components of organic thin-film transistors (OTFTs) should be replaced with organic materials such as semiconductor, insulator, electrode and passivation layer also. For the application of real array device such as active matrix display, OTFTs should be protected by the passivation layer to prolong the device lifetime. Most frequently used organic material for OTFT passivation is polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) in water not to damage to organic semiconductor layer by the effect of large difference of surface energy. In our works, we have tried the modification of PVA passivation layer by nanocomposite and crosslinked PVA without photoinitiator for organic passivation layer approach to improve the barrier property of PVA layer to oxygen and moisture. Detailed characterizations of the nanocomposite and crosslinked PVA layer and changes of TFT performance before and after passivation will be discussed.
