For the aromatization of acetylene, a nanosheet zeolite ITQ-2 and MCM-22 zeolites was employed. The nanosheet-type ITQ-2 zeolite was synthesized by delamination of MCM-22 zeolite precursor. By delamination process of MCM-22 zeolite precursor, the nanosheet-type ITQ-2 zeolite was prepared. MCM-22 zeolites and ITQ-2 zeolites were characterized about pore structure and surface property. ITQ-2 zeolites were as good as MCM-22 zeolites in terms of performance of aromatization. ITQ-2 zeolites had outstanding portion of external active sites because of the remote and thin-layer structure. In ITQ-2 zeolites, due to decreased reaction time, the concentration of C3-C8 aliphatic compounds is larger than that of aromatic compounds. We found three three points that concentration of external surface area, the concentration Brønsted acid sites and the rate of deactivation in this study. Lastly, we re-route the reaction pathway from aromatization. |
