제목 Effect of ZrO2 nanoparticles concentration on the corrosion and microstructural properties of two-step PEO coatings on AZ91 magnesium alloy
초록 Corrosion and microstructural properties of the Two-step PEO coatings produced under various ZrO2 nanoparticle concentrations and processing time was evaluated. With changing the concentration and process duration several effects were observed including; the distribution of Zr-based particles (Ring-type to cluster-type), damage to the inner layer (duration~30min) and the repairing of surface crakes and defects. EIS and Surface analysis confirmed the remarkable anticorrosion properties of the coating (ZrO2~ 8g/l and duration~15min) due to its hard inner and outer layers and the presence of stable Zr-based complexes. Moreover, corrosion properties were correlated with the hydrolysis species formed during the solution preparation
