제목 Effective Modulation of the Electronic Structure of Carbon Electrocatalysts for Oxygen Redox Reactions in Zinc-Air Batteries
초록 Molecular engineering had great attention to develop effective carbon-based electrocatalysts for ORR and OER in Zinc-air batteries. Herein, a molecular engineering approach based on an O2-mediated solvothermal radical reaction (OSRR) was developed to control the physicochemical nanostructures of Co/N-doped porous carbon electrocatalysts in a simple manner. Atomic Co/N-doped carbon (CoCN), nanoparticulate Co/N-doped carbon (AP-CoCN), atomic Co/N-doped hollow carbon (PCA-CoCN-1), and nanoparticulate Co/N-doped porous carbon (PCA-CoCN-2) nanostructures were produced by varying the organic precursor in the process of OSRR. Simulations found that the back side carbon of Co-pyridinic N-doped structures was an active site for both ORR and OER. The Zn-air battery with PCA-CoCN-1 and AP-CoCN showed a lower charge-discharge overpotential and better durability than the Pt/C and RuO2 assembly.
