제목 Fabrication of 3-dimesional layer-by-layer electrospun scaffolds by side-by-side electrospinning
초록 Since conventional electrospinning process produces 2-dimesional sheet-like structure which is not suitable for mimicking extracellular matrix (ECM), there has been a lot of efforts to make 3-dimesional electrospun scaffolds. Here, a new method to create 3-dimesional thicker electrospun scaffold is introduced. In this study, a thick and layered scaffold was fabricated by side-by-side electrospinning which utilizes two attached needles for the simultaneous electrospinning of two polymer solutions. Polycaprolactone(PCL) and polyvinylpyrrolidone were used in this technique, and a cross-linking agent, 4,4′-diazidostilbene-2,2′-disulfonic acid disodium salt(DAS), was contained in PVP to induce the layered phenomenon. The thick and layered structure of the fibrous scaffold might be attributed to the electrostatic interaction between fibers. This scaffold fabrication technique will be helpful to construct 3-dimesional electrospun scaffolds for the effective tissue regeneration.
