제목 Mn(III)-mediated oxidation and polymerization of phenolic compounds
초록 Manganese peroxidase (MnP) has been found to play a role in the degradation of lignin and catalyze the oxidation of Mn(II) to Mn(III). Mn(III) is a diffusible oxidant, able to oxidize a variety of phenolic substrates via the formation of the phenoxy radicals at a distance away from the active site of MnP. Alternatively, the condensation of radicals in mixtures of solvents and water would lead to polymerization products.
In order to better understand the oxidation and polymerization of phenolic compounds by manganese peroxidase, Mn(III)-mediated oxidation and polymerization of phenolic model compounds were investigated.
