제목 | The Interfacial Characteristics and Mechanical Properties of Polymeric Fiber Reinforced Composite |
초록 | Polymeric fiber reinforced composites have relatively higher elongation and lighter weight than inorganic fiber reinforced composites. However, it has to be considered to take an appropriate matrix polymer, which has a much lower melting temperature compared with that of the polymeric fiber, not to disrupt the polymeric fiber. Also a proper compatibilizer should be used to enhance the compatibility. This polymeric fiber reinforced composite would be useful in the field of polymer blends as well as a recycling of clothes. In this study, polyester fiber reinforced PP composite was prepared by using BRABENDER mixer and twin screw extruder. PP-g-MAH and EPDM-g-MAH were used as a compatibilizer in this composite system. The mechanical properties and the interfacial characteristics were investigated by using INSTRON tensile tester and SEM, DSC and DMA. |
