Polyethylene furanoate(PEF) wassynthesized from a biomass-based 2,5-furandicarboxylicacid(FDCA) and EG monomer is a bio-polymer that can replace to petroleum-basedPET due to reduce CO2 emission. We tried toimprove biodegradability and mechanical properties by adapting FDCA and cyclicether lactone structure. In this study, bio-copolyester was successfullypolymerized by controlling different mole ratioof lactone and FDCA, and found the optimizedpolymerization conditions such as reaction time, catalyst type and its amount. Thesynthesized material was analyzed using H-NMR, FT-IR and GPC. |
