Improvement of electrochemical performance of silicon anode by polydopamine coated copper current collector |
초록 |
Silicon anode is promising candidate of next-generation lithium-ion batteries anode because it has a high theoretical capacity about 4200 mAh g-1. However, its rapid capacity decay caused by large volume changes around 300% have made it difficult to be commercialized. Dead particles detached from the current collector can mainly occur degradation of electrochemical performances. Hence, we tried to improve the interfacial adhesion strength between the Si electrode and the current collector by surface modification of the current collector through polydopamin (PD) coating on it and cross-linking reaction PD and polyacrylic acid (PAA) binder in the electrode. Interfacial adhesion strength between the electrode and the current collector were measured using Surface And Interfacial Cutting Analysis System (SAICAS). The electrode using cross-linking reaction between PD layer and PAA binder shows highest adhesion strength and improved cycle performance. |
