We investigate new eco-friendly polyols by using the castor oil for polyurethane. In order to increase a reactivity when synthesize the polyurethane(i.e., by conversing secondary alcohol to primary alcohol), maleic anhydride is used that easily reacts with secondary alcohol without catalyst for synthesizing CMA intermediates. We optimized the reaction time and reagent ratio between castor oil and maleic anhydride. To introduce the primary alcohol group for polymerization, amino alcohol derivatives are reacted with CMA intermediates having carboxyl acid. |
