Capacitive Deionization (CDI) system has raised great attention as a promising water purification method. Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) have come to be well-known owing to its excellent electrical conductivity as a CDI electrode. However, CNTs are difficult to disperse in water due to their hydrophobic property, which can be a weakness to CDI application. Therefore, we aimed to approach uniformly dispersed CNT in aqueous solution and to find optimized oxygen to carbon ratio (O/C) of CNTs surface. Consequently, these approach is an effective method to improve the characteristic of CNTs and the modified materials are expected to be applicable for CDI electrode. |
