Poly (ionic liquids), commonly known as PILs, are used in several electrochemical energy storage/conversion devices due to their favorable physical properties. Therefore, PIL binder have already been examined as binders for electrodes of energy storage system and indeed showed superior performance. PIL binder can be obtained via a simple synthetic process. In this study, we report a facile and controlled method (cross-linking and composite technique) to prepare two types of PIL binder. We monitored the chemical structure of PIL binder via FT-IR, 1H-NMR. In addition, it has been confirmed that thermal stability of PIL binder have improved. This study expects that forming a cross-linked network is a straightforward means for improving the electrochemical performance of new polymeric binder. |
