Suitable Anti-solvent for Depositing Uniform Perovskite Regardless of Relative Humidity of Ambient Air |

Perovskite solar cells have achieved rapid growth in power conversion efficiency (PCE) and attained 25.2 % recently. Mostly, high-efficiency perovskite solar cells have been prepared with uniform perovskite film by the one-step spin coating method using anti-solvent. Other groups have reported the change of perovskite’s morphology with applying various anti-solvents. Because chemical properties of anti-solvent (e.g. boiling point, polarity, and dielectric constant) affect the film morphology of perovskite. Especially, the dripping process of anti-solvent needs to be optimized to attain high-coverage and uniform perovskite films. However, previous studies have mainly shown the deposition of perovskite at N2-filled glove box and controlled humidity (< RH 20 %). It is necessary to understand how anti-solvent affects the formation of perovskite depending on humidity. In this study, we propose Diethyl ether as an anti-solvent that can achieve high-coverage and uniform perovskite films in ambient humidity conditions (< RH 50 %) by analyzing the UV-vis absorption, scanning electron microscope, and X-ray diffraction spectra of perovskite films. |
