New polycaprolactone based thermogel |

Thermogels are temperature-sensitive hydogel materials which undergo sol-to-gel transition when the temperature increases. Since the delicate balance between hydrophilicity and hydrophobicity of polymer conformation make a unique property of thermogel, tuning of molecular structure consisting of hydrophilic block and hydrophobic block is crucial in designing a thermogel material. Polycaprolactone (PCL) is a semi-crystalline polymer and was used to obtain brittle powder morphology of PEG-PCL-PEG triblock copolymer. The polycaprolactone based themogel was investigated the solution behavior of phase transition of PEG-PCL-PEG triblock copolymer. |
