The barrier properties of graphene oxide with polymer composites |

We report here a novel method for the fabrication of composites which have a stacking structure with the SB copolymer and polystyrene-graphite oxide (PS-GO). The first is that the PS-GO is dispersed in the SB copolymer matrix. The second is the fabrication of composite films of SB copolymer with PS-GO. The SB copolymer has a lamellar structure because they have 45 wt % PS by self-assembly. The PS-GO is embedded in the styrene parts in the SB copolymer.This strategy leads to the formation of a stacking structure for the gas barrier properties. The graphite oxide is enhanced to the gas barrier properties due to a plate structure and absorption properties of graphite oxide. These composites have a long pathway and absorption properties, so they are less gas permeability than pure SB copolymer. This method is cost-effective and it can be large mass production. We suggest that it is possible to enhance the gas barrier properties with GO. |
