Polyethyleneoxide(PEO), kind of a hydrophilic polymer, is introduced to obtain a nylon 46/6 copolymer. Nylon 6 oligomer synthesized by adipic acid(AA) and 6-aminocarproic acid has about 2000 MW. PEO which has about 2000 MW reacts with terephtalic acid so that both side of reactant are carboxylated. And then, nylon 46 salt is prepared by AA and 1,4-diaminobutane (DB). Nylon 46/6 copolymer is prepared by controlling a ratio of an additional DB and the reactants (PEO and Nylon 46 salt). Synthesis mechanisms are proceed by two steps. The first step a pre-condensation step is reacted at 230℃ for 1hour. Second step, a post-condensation step, is proceed at 280℃ for 2hours. After the polymerization, a viscosity of the product is measured and a viscosity average molecular weight(Mv) is confirmed. Thermal properties are analyzed by DSC and TGA. Nylon 46/6 copolymer introduced by segmented block copolymer has superior mechanical strength than random block of nylon 46/6 copolymer has. |
