제목 Preparation and Characterization of Super High Molecular Weight Polyether Polyols
초록 Polymerization of propylene oxide (PO) has been carried out by double metal cyanide (DMC) catalyst prepared by reacting ZnCl2 and K3[Co(CN)6]2 in the presence of butyl lactate as a main complexing agent and Poly(ethylene glycol)-block-poly(propylene glycol)-block-poly(ethylene glycol) as a co-complexing agent. The DMC catalyst in the polyol was removed by treatment with hydrogen peroxide. Super high molecular weight polyol was prepared using purified polyol as a polymerization initiator. The yielded polymers are analyzed by 1H NMR spectroscopy, gel permeation chromatography and viscometry. The unsaturation level and OH value of the polymers were also determined by titration.
