제목 Nanocomposites of poly(methyl methacrylate) with multi-wall carbon nanotube (MWCNT) by emulsion polymerization
초록 Hybrid nanobeads of poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) with multi-walled carbon nanotube (MWCNT) have been prepared by emulsion polymerization for the applications of microelectronics and electroptical devices.
In preparation of hybrid nanobeads, pristine MWCNT and oxidized MWCNT were introduced into the microdroplets of MMA monomers during micelle formation, and respective hybrid nanobeads were compared in terms of morphological and physical properties such as thermal and electrical conductivities. Examination on the hybrid nanobeads presented that even distribution of nanotubes within PMMA matrix was obtainable during nanobead formation, and the corresponding physical properties were tunable by the degree of distribution and concentration of CNT.
