Filled polyolefin compounds exhibit some improved properties obviously different from those of unfilled polymers. The present work focuses on the effects of reinforcing fillers on the properties of polyolefin composites. Their reinforcing effects were evaluated by comparisons with those from silica, clay and calcium carbonate. This was conducted by mechanical test, thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), thermal aging and volume resistivity. The results show that polyolefin composites with reinforcing fillers exhibited better mechanical properties than that with unfilled composites. |
