제목 | Phase Separation and Adhesion Properties of Waterborne Polyurethane |
초록 | Since waterborne polyurethanes are non-toxic, non-flammable and do not pollute the air, they have been widely used in coatings and adhesives. But they have some problems, that is, deterioration of the rate of drying and initial adhesion property, because they are in a dispersion condition of water. Accordingly, to overcome such problems the rate of crystallinity has been increased through by increasing the phase separation, and making use of more hard segment and solid to raise increasing adhesion properties. A series of waterborne polyurethanes, based on 4,4'-diphenylmethane diisocyanate and 1,4-butanediol as hard segment (HS) and poly(tetramethylene adipate glycol) (Mn=4000) and 1,6-hexamethylene diisocyanate as soft segment (SS) and dimethylol propionic acid(DMPA) as a potential ionic center, were synthesized. To clarify relationships between the phase separation and the rate of crystallinity as well as adhesion properties of waterborne polyurethanes prepolymer molecular weight, DMPA content, hard segment content, solid content were investigated in terms of adhesion, surface, mechanical and dynamic mechanical thermal properties. |
