Physical Properties of Thermoplastic Polyolefin Elastomer (TPE) Containing Oyster Shell |

In this study, the possibility of calcium carbonate as an alternative to polymer compound material was identified to solve the environmental problem of discarded oyster shell. A film was manufactured by melting process a thermoplastic polyolefin elastomer (TPE) containing oyster shell and a thermoplastic polyolefin elastomer containing calcium carbonate. Physical properties of manufactured TPE films were compared. Mechanical properties and thermal properties were similar to those of TPE films containing calcium carbonate.
