Solid Polymer Electrolyte and Dry Type Conducting Polymer Actuator Based on NBR having Different Acrylonitrile Content. |

We reported herein electrochemical characterizations performed on PPy actuators based on, the solid polymer electrolyte, nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR) in dry state. The different NBR films were synthesized by emulsion polymerization with different amount of acrylonitrile, 23, 35, and 40 mol. %, respectively. In the actuator fabrication, pyrrole synthesized in 1 M FeCl3-solution on the surface of the different NBR and activated in ionic liquids between. The effects of acrylonitrile content on the dielectric constant and ionic conductivity were characterized. The displacement of actuator was also measured by laser beam. |
