A non-enzymatic glucose sensor was fabricated from Cu-doped carbon nanofibers (CNFs), which were prepared from polymer solution of polyacrylonitrile (PAN), dimethylformamide (DMF), and copper sulfate (CuSO4) by electrospinning. The prepared samples were analyzed by X-ray diffraction (XRD) to confirm their crystal structure and energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX) to investigate their elemental composition. The biosensor electrodes fabricated using the Cu-doped CNFs were shown to have a high sensitivity in the range of 74.6 - 225.4 μAmM-1cm-2. The prepared electrodes were observed highly sensitive, fast amperometric glucose sensors, with a broad linear sensing range up to a concentration of 20 mM. |
