Antioxidative effect of PGC-1α-derived peptide material conjugated with gallic acid |

In the past few centuries, aging has become a part of global interest. Skin is one of the areas where aging occurs quickly and is affected by environmental exposure and genetic processes. The use of suitable cosmetic anti-aging substances, which use suitable biomolecules, can help protect damaged skin tissue. In particular, the antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects of functional materials are important factors in the management of skin physicochemical and biological oxidative stress. This study investigated the important function of Galloyl-peptide (derived from PGC-1α) to confirm that it meets the requirements of cosmetic anti-aging biomolecules. The biocompatibility of Galloyl-peptide was confirmed by CCK-8 analysis, and the antioxidant effect was confirmed by DPPH. This new approach indicates that Galloyl-peptide is a potentially cosmetic anti-aging biomaterial for the prevention of oxidative stress. |
