Hydrogels containing dexibuprofen were prepared and their viscosity, sol - gel transition temperature, gelation rate, swelling degree, skin permeability, and content were evaluated and the following conclusions were made. The viscosity of B was the most similar when compared with the viscosity of commercially available gel. The results of the skin permeation test showed that the permeation was completed with in 400 minutes for both A and B, and A was the most excellent in the skin permeability. As a result, In preparation and evaluation of hydrogel containing dexibuprofen. Recipe A was the most suitable hydrogel. It used 2.0g of carbomer 940 as the gel base and 40mL of ethanol. The lower the ethanol content, the higher the skin permeability. However, the flavor of Ethanol is too strong and it seems to be necessary to add proper flavor. |
