제목 Liquid-liquid equilibirum of the ternary system (solvents+water+butyric acid) with UNIFAC model at 25 °C and atmospheric pressure
초록 Liquid + liquid equilibrium data were determined for the ternary systems of o-xylene + water + butyric acid, ethyl ether + water + butyric acid, isopropyl acetate + water + butyric acid, and ethyl acetate + water + butyric acid at 25 ℃ and atmospheric pressure. Complete phase diagrams were obtained by determining solubility and the tie-line data. Tie-line compositions were correlated by the Hand, and Othmer–Tobias method. The UNIFAC method was used to predict the phase equilibrium in the system using the interaction parameters determined from experimental data between CH, CH2, CH3, CH2O, COOH, CH3COO, ACH, ACCH3 and H2O groups. It is found that UNIFAC group interaction parameters used for LLE could not provide a good prediction. Distribution coefficients and separation factors were evaluated for the immiscibility region.
