Organic solar cells have studied with a great attention as a renewable energy source for eco-friendly ways and its potential, such as flexibility, transparency, and low weight. Recently, many researchers focused on semi-transparent organic solar cells (ST-OSCs) as emerging products that are both visually aesthetic and practical applications. The optimization of ST-OSCs, such as adjusting the thickness of active layer and introducing new materials with strong absorption in the NIR region, was carried out. For these efforts, it can ease the trade-off between the power conversion efficiency (PCE) and average visible transmittance (AVT). Previously,we have proved the small molecule donor helps to expand between UV and visible region of absorption. Therefore, our remained challenge is to achieve efficient formation of film morphology. Our research indicates that ST-OSCs can be introduced to promising applications like building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPVs) and see-through ceilings. |
