제목 Fabrication of lithium ion battery separator via thermally induced phase separation and coating with macroporous polyarylate on the separator via a nonsolvent induced phase separation process for the enhancement of thermal stability.
초록 Lithium ion batteries are widely used as power sources in portable electronic products due to their high energy density and long life cycle. Among the components of battery, the separator offers protection against internal short of circuits and safe deactivation of the cell under overcharge conditions. The utility of microporous membrane demands for controlling the size of drop formed by liquid-liquid phase separation. we use thermally induced phase separation process for fabrication of LIBS. For controlling the size of microporous membrane, we use paraffin oil and polyTHF. We also design the separator that have a porous PE layer coated with another porous polymer that have higher thermal stability to maintain robust mechanical properties after shutdown. Phase inversion process is used for preparing a porous coating layer. We observe the morphology of the fabricated LIBS and coated LIBS by SEM. To observe the thermal and permeable properties, LIBS is analyzed by TMA and GPT.
