제목 Controlling the La2O2CO3 phases in La2O2CO3/ZnO Catalysts for direction carbonation of glycerol with CO2
초록 La-Zn mixed oxide materials have been used as a typical heterogeneous catalyst for glycerol carbonylation with CO2 to produce glycerol carbonate, which has attracted great attention as an alternative route to simultaneously utilize glycerol, a byproduct of biodiesel, and CO2, a greenhouse gas. In this study, we prepared the La2O2CO3/ZnO catalysts by two different methods – co-precipitation and ethylene glycol combustion and calcined them at different temperature. The different thermal treatment temperatures induced two kinds of La2O2CO3 phase transition of two catalysts, proven by XRD measurements. The main La2O2CO3 phase which was prepared by ethylene glycol combustion method was monoclinic La2O2CO3 structure until  600°C of calcination temperature. At 700°C of calcination temperture, the monoclinic La2O2CO3 phase was transformed into La2O3 phase. And the phase transition of La2O2CO3 which was prepared by co-precipitation method is still at work.
